LOKAL NORMANDIE - summer 2020

This season we will do 2 exhibitions at LOKAL NORMANDY.

• The first opened July 24th and is with two friends and locally acting artists

SPLASHFORMANCES & exhibitions

The exhibition is a calajdoscopic SCAN on 2 very different artist who nevertheless have found a common playground in their very expressionistic attack on surfaces called SPLASHFORMANCE The two artist uses very different techniques

- Niels Peter Flint is using (unusual) natural matter like earth, compost, seeds, natural pigments etc. mixed in blenders with lin-oil

- Jean Pierre Waeckel uses often markers, ink and other non-paint matters - for the SPLASHFORMANCE substances he uses substances like beetroot, wine etc.

But there can be surprises and blenders and mixers might be used by the audience to make the various ”paints” being applied to the surfaces.

SPLASHFORMANCE - AN INTERACTIVE EVENT

For the SPLASHFORMANCE  at LOKAL the audience is invited to come with matter they think can be used to make SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT from – it can be handed over prior to the SPLASHFORMANCE – however the requirements for how to make SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT needs to be followed (see below for instructions).

The two artists have made one SPLASHFORMANCE together before and will do several during the exhibition period which is from Friday July 24th to Sunday September 6th. During the opening period the will be SPLASHFORMANCES in various weekends - this will be announced later. For now the will be 3 shows 24, 25, 26th of July at 17.00 at LOKAL.

-       Friday 24th of July at 17.00 – where there will be a SPLASHFORMANCE, SPLASH cocktails, and various entertainment

 Due to the circumstances it might be that Jean Pierre Waeckel participates on distance via video – and with words instead of paint. JPW will SPLASH-poem and NPF will ”apply” JPW´s poem to the surfaces… in the SPLASHFORMANCE – and after that ALL IS LEFT TO YOU….

Cette saison, nous ferons 2 expositions à LOKAL NORMANDY.

SPLASHFORMANCES & expositions

L'exposition est un SCAN calajdoscopique sur 2 artistes très différents qui ont pourtant trouvé un terrain de jeu commun dans leur attaque très expressionniste sur des surfaces dites SPLASHFORMANCE. Les deux artistes utilisent des techniques très différentes.

- Niels Peter Flint utilise des matières naturelles (inhabituelles) comme la terre, le compost, les graines, les pigments naturels, etc. mélangés dans des mélangeurs avec de l'huile de lin.

- Jean Pierre Waeckel utilise souvent des marqueurs, de l'encre et d'autres matières autres que la peinture - Pour les substances SPLASHFORMANCE, il utilise des substances comme la betterave, le vin, etc…

Mais il peut y avoir des surprises et des mélangeurs pourraient être utilisés par le public pour fabriquer les diverses «peintures» appliquées sur les surfaces. SPLASHFORMANCE - UN ÉVÉNEMENT INTERACTIF Pour la SPLASHFORMANCE à LOKAL, le public est invité à venir avec la matière à partir de laquelle il pense qu'elle peut être utilisée pour faire SPLASHFORMANCE. -PAINT - elle peut être remise avant la SPLASHFORMANCE - cependant les exigences relatives à la fabrication de SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT doivent être respectées (voir ci-dessous pour les instructions).

Les deux artistes ont déjà réalisé un SPLASHFORMANCE ensemble auparavant et en feront plusieurs pendant la période d'exposition qui se déroule du vendredi 24 juillet au dimanche 6 septembre. Pendant la période d'ouverture,

il y aura des SPLASHFORMANCES dans divers week-ends -cela sera annoncé plus tard. Pour l'instant il sera de 3 spectacles les 24, 25, 26 juillet à 17h00 au LOKAL.

TOUT EST À VOUS - vernissage et fête - - Vendredi 24 juillet à 17h00 - où il y aura un SPLASHFORMANCE, des cocktails SPLASH et divers divertissements. En raison des circonstances, il se peut que Jean Pierre Waeckel participe à distance par vidéo - et avec des mots plutôt que de la peinture. JPW lancera un poème SPLASH et NPF "appliquera" le poème de JPW aux surfaces… dans SPLASHFORMANCE. - et après cela, TOUT EST À VOUS…. SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT interaction

You are welcome to participate in the SPLASHFORMANCE by delivering SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT-matter.

The SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT is divided into 2 main categories - NATMAT (NATURE MATTER) & SYNMAT (SYNTHETIC MATTER) - your can read more about SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT by clicking here.

The SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT can be made beforehand - or it can be a substance you think can be used. But please consider that the paint needs to be as colorproof as possible (look it up). So if you have a potential SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT then please bring and it will be applied to the pieces being created.

SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT PURPOSE

SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT has 2 main purposes. They can be a paint made from something that adds color or textures like for example dust from clay bricks (often yellow, redbrown or brown), but it could also be a memory - maybe a bit of earth from your grandmothers garden or maybe some very fine cut hair from your dog or something from someone that you admire or love or want to impress…. As long as the substance can be blended into lin-oil and / or various natural glues then you are welcome to bring your SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT- memory or color matter - but you need to tell the story about the SPLASHFORMANCE-PAINT / matter and you give permission to LETTING IT being used in the actual art piece - if used - the artists will chose what to apply.

Why is SPLASHFORMANCE and SPLASH painting in general important? From my point of view we have to a large extend lost our ability to be naturally creative - naturally in the sense that everything we as humans are doing derives from nature and has to go back again. This counts for art as well.
